The paradox of perfectionism
The following is a concept I just read from a magazine. The story is about a guy who is a perfectionist and thus wants everything to be done perfectly. After succeeding for a few times at the begining, he becomes afraid to face failures. Due to such fear, he decides not to prepare for the next challange until the evening before it is due as an excuse for failure. When the bad result finally comes, he thinks it may not be considered as the estimate of his capabilities. This mindset gives him a fantasy that he could have done it better if he had had enough time to prepare. Finally, he becomes an underachiever instead of an overachiever...
